About Clare...



Hello!

My name is Clare Ruby, I am 22 and I am from South London. Unlike most of the camp staff, and bloggers, I did not attend University and haven't been a student for a long time! I currently work as a receptionist in a Medispa on London's famous Kings Road in Chelsea. This means I spend my days dealing with rich, snobby and rude clients, which is what led me to applying for AmeriCamp!



I was lucky enough to be placed at the Leeds Camp Fair, as Drama Counsellor at Camp Louise in Pennsylvania, and I am SO excited! Musical theatre is something that's been a part of my life since I was very young. It's not just a passion, it's an obsession! You name a musical and I've probably seen it! I've seen Wicked 11 times, and I'm arriving in the USA early before camp just to see it on broadway! I got a double distinction in Performing Arts at A Level, and it's nice to know ill be putting that to good use!

My other passion/obsession is football. I am a lifelong fan and a season ticket holder of Fulham FC, and have travelled up and down the country, and overseas to watch them play! I sat on a coach for 17 hours just to watch them in the Europa Final in Germany! Have also been on the hit football show Soccer AM as a soccerette.

After Camp, I will be furthering my travels, heading to Fiji, New Zealand, Australia and Thailand! I can't wait to start blogging and let you all know of the fun I have! Roll on Camp!!
